Live LoungeSomething new

Watch together,not alone.

Church was never meant to be a solo activity. Live Lounge is where you watch the Sunday service alongside other people — welcomed, chatting, getting to know each other — instead of watching on your own.

We’re moving Live Lounge to before the service starts, so you can settle in, say hi, and watch the whole thing together.

The problem with watching alone

A livestream is something you talk at, not someone you talk to

Watching on YouTube is good, and for a lot of people it’s the easiest way in. But it’s one-way. You catch the talk, maybe drop a comment, and that’s it. It’s hard to feel part of something when you’re on your own on the sofa and everyone else is just a name in a chat feed.

Here’s where we’re taking it

The same service — watched in a room full of people.

So we’re trying something. We’ll still livestream the service on YouTube — but we’ll also play it in a shared video room and open that room before the service starts. You join, there are people from Crowd to welcome you, and you watch the whole thing together.

It runs on Zoom for now, while we get it right. The idea is simple: a room full of people watching the same thing at the same time, able to actually talk to each other.

What a Sunday looks like

Three steps, this Sunday.

Join before it starts

Hop into the room a little before the service. No camera needed and nothing to prepare — come as you are, coffee in hand.

Get welcomed

Hosts from Crowd are there to say hello, introduce you, and make sure you're not sitting on your own. Familiar faces from week one.

Watch it together

We play the livestream in the room and watch as one. React, ask questions, chat in real time — the way you'd talk to someone in the next seat.

Why it matters

Belonging beats a comment thread.

Something happens when you watch together instead of alone. You start recognising faces. Conversations carry on from one week to the next. A comment feed can’t do that — but a room full of people can. That’s the whole point of Live Lounge: not slicker content, just real belonging.

Want in?

Be one of the first in the room

This is new, and we’d love you to be part of it early. Drop us a line and we’ll send you the link and a heads-up before the next service. Got questions about how it works? Ask away — a real person reads every message.

Fancy being one of the people who makes others feel welcome? Hosting Live Lounge is one of the simplest ways to serve.

Come and watch with us

Give it a go this Sunday — join the room, meet a few people, and watch the service together. We'd love to have you.
